Riverview Event Venue Donates Wedding Dresses to Healthcare Workers
Weddings bring joy, but they can also be stressful- especially during a pandemic. Thanks to the Regent in Riverview, brides-to-be in healthcare received a bit of relief. In September, CEO Shannon Keil organized wedding dress donations to healthcare workers to thank them for their tireless efforts.
Dozens of brides in healthcare received the donated dresses, free of charge, as an expression of gratitude from The Regent. Shannon Keil’s appreciation is personal- she spent weeks battling COVID in the hospital herself.
The Regent has always served as a venue to the community, hosting everything from chamber meetings to cultural events to weddings and celebrations. Shannon and her team took pride in organizing the giveaway, even going the extra mile by gathering local business owners to produce a celebratory brunch.
The owner of Satin & Lace, Alison Farnan, was also present to gift the gowns. She not only donated dresses from her boutique, but also invited the healthcare workers to her shop to try them on for their loved ones and create a heartwarming experience.
Shannon and the Regent plan on drumming up dress donations for teachers next. Updates on the next giveaway can be found on their website.
