DIY wreaths and bouquets with 4 seasonal workshops
Just because seasonal snows can never be expected in Greater Tampa Bay, that does not mean a Floridian’s fall and winter go wanting for cheer.
Like any good holiday host, GTB offers several crowd-pleasing options for DIY workshops. Residents can hone their wreath-wrangling, bolster their bouquet-making and treat themselves to a bit of good food and merrymaking in the process.
October has yielded to November, which means it is time to trade the witchcraft for a little wreathcraft. Check out the most festive wreath and bouquet workshops that GTB has to offer this year.
Fall Wreath Workshop — Leafy Luv Affair
At the Fall Wreath Workshop, attendees will become versed in both wreath and floral design. The flower aficionados at Leafy Luv Affair promise to get hands “knotty” with local artist Sadie LeBlanc, who will show attendees how to build a macrame wreath base.
The talented bloomtender, Day Yem, will follow this up with the fundamentals of dried floral arrangement. A ticket includes all necessary workshop materials, plus two extra-necessary holiday cocktails.

Floral Workshop — 2Birds
This is actually a year-round floral arrangement workshop, and bouquet bros may be out of luck — 2Birds runs chiefly female fiestas. In this workshop, the attendee and up to seven other gal pals will each plan and prepare a floral centerpiece under the guidance of an experienced designer.
2Birds recommend an advance scheduling of one-to-two days before the event in question, and attendees are welcome to bring snacks, wine, champagne, etc.

Build Your Own Bouquet — The Roaming Petal
This is a build-your-own-bouquet bash for a party of friends and family. The workshop is put on by none other than The Roaming Petal, which has, this time, floated gently into Tampa’s own Armature Works.
Attendees — who must number no fewer than 10 — can expect approximately two hours of assisted flower arranging. The Roaming Petal works with a combination of seasonal florals, and for this workshop, they will prep attendees for an autumn-esque Thanksgiving with materials that blend perfectly in rustic fall bouquets.

Wine & Wreath Making — Armature Works
Merrymaking is only half-hearted that is done sans wine, and Armature Works is wise to this hard holiday fact. Advertised as a “girls’ night out,” this workshop promises such potent creative instruction that the resulting wreaths will bring neighbors to jealousy. If a little merlot splashes onto the wreath, call it an artistic choice.
