Why Greater Tampa Bay?
The first time I visited Tampa Bay, I was 15 years old. That was my first trip to Florida. I got off the airplane from Pittsburgh and drove away from the airport with my dad. The beauty of the sunshine, palm trees and water instantly drew me in. I think I knew then that I was going to end up here. I spent many years after visiting the area and learning about the different communities.
I am close to my parents, and we talked about where they would retire. When they retired here, I followed. I always tell my mom I spent half a lifetime looking for my palm tree. Now, almost everywhere I go there is a palm tree and a lovely water view.
When I moved to Tampa, I headed straight to the Premier Sotheby’s International Realty office. I wanted to align myself with a luxury real estate brand and continue develop my real estate career in Florida. I had owned my own real estate brokerage in another state and had watched Sotheby’s International Realty open and grow in that market. I quickly saw the value in the brand, the global connections and the unrivaled marketing.
I listed and sold properties as a broker associate for several years before stepping into the role of Managing Broker. My company has an exceptional leadership team that continues to support my growth and the growth of my associates. I am truly grateful to be part of a highly successful, supportive and collaborative team that allows me to maximize my real estate career.
Since moving here, it has been an incredible place to call home. Tampa is home to some of the most beautiful white, sandy Gulf Coast beaches. I grew up in cold, gloomy winter weather. Now, I can be outside enjoying the tropical weather and fresh air most of the year.
I like being active and participating in year-round outdoor activities. On the weekends, I make time to walk in different locations like Bayshore Boulevard, The Tampa Riverwalk, downtown St Petersburg and Clearwater Beach. For me, this equals the quality of life I always dreamed of.
Tampa has a very affordable cost of living and offers a variety of lifestyles and communities. I easily assimilated into my new home and neighborhood and made friends, some who were native and many who relocated here just as I did. I am surrounded by new friends who seem just like family.
There is never a shortage of relaxing, fun or exciting things to do. Whether it’s a festival, a charity event, a pro sporting event, listening to live music or eating at some of my favorite local restaurants, I stay busy and enjoy all that Tampa has to offer.
I am fortunate that I’ve found my palm tree here in Tampa. There’s no place I would rather live. Every day is another day in paradise.
