If you’re looking for the perfect way to celebrate Dad this Father’s Day, look no further. Greater Tampa Bay has a diverse selection of events to celebrate fathers on their special day, and we’ve compiled the best of the best.
Start off your weekend with the Carrollwood Village Father’s Day Fishing Tournament. From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dad and one child under 16 can participate in the second annual catch and release tournament. The event includes a variety of free activities, from a DJ and food truck to free classes from FWC & Tampa Bay Junior Bass Club.
Another outdoor event available for dads who want to spend their weekend in the Florida sunshine is the Father’s Day Cornhole Tournament at Starkey Market. This New Port Richey event gives more competitive dads the chance to go head-to-head with other family teams. Complete with locally crafted beer and fine wine, as well as a coffee and ice cream bar, this Sunday evening event is sure to round off the weekend.
For a craftier take on Father’s Day Weekend, families can partake in free take in Ikea Tampa’s Father’s Day Crafts for Kids. Here, families can decorate and design reusable canvas tote bags at Ikea.
If your dad loves to cook and eat, Publix Aprons offers the best of both worlds. This Father’s Day edition of Big and Little Chef gives aspiring adult and child chefs the opportunity to cook a variety of dishes together, including bacon cheeseburgers and shrimp kabobs.
Finally, if the father in your life wants a more low-key event, the St. Pete Street Food & Craft Beer Fest will leave bellies full and taste buds happy. Located at Albert Whitted Park, this kid-friendly event gives families the chance to enjoy some time in the park while tasting a variety of local foods and brews.
No matter how you choose to celebrate the important father in your life, there is no doubt that he will be grateful you took the time to plan out a fun-filled Father’s Day.
