Lauren Morgan — New Executive Vice President of Tampa Bay Builders Association
Florida State College at Jacksonville alum Lauren Morgan caps off a decade at the TBBA with this promotion. She officially began the new role in December. Morgan has been interim EVP since August 2022.
Since 1946, the Tampa Bay Builders Association has worked to unite and promote the industry by providing opportunities for partnerships, networking and trade.
Meghan O’Keefe — New Executive Director of Tampa Bay Tech
Meghan O’Keefe began her role with Tampa Bay Tech in December following four years with the St. Petersburg Economic Development Corporation. O’Keefe recruited companies to St. Petersburg as a business development manager with the EDC.
For more than 20 years, the nonprofit Tampa Bay Tech has made it their mission to promote and connect GTB’s tech companies. Tampa Bay Tech connects with more than 100,000 of the area’s tech employees, hosting events, running peer councils and holding marketing services.
Kelly Enriquez — New President of Mease Countryside, Mease Dunedin Hospitals
Kelly Enriquez begins her new position as president following a 16-year career in hospital leadership. Before her latest post, Enriquez worked at ShorePoint Health Venice, HCA Healthcare and Sebastian River Medical Center.
Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital are some of the premier health care facilities in GTB. Under the BayCare umbrella, there are more than a dozen more across the state.
Zach Eflin — New Pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays
Zach Eflin, a 28-year-old right-hander from Orlando, has finally made his way back to Florida. After a six-year stint with the Philadelphia Phillies, Eflin signed a three-year contract with the Rays in December.
The Rays look to bolster their roster for the upcoming 2023 season with this acquisition. After dropping the American League Wild Card Series to Cleveland in October, the Rays hope to bounce back stronger this next season.
Kenny Wilson – New CEO of Jabil
Kenny Wilson, a 22-year veteran of Jabil, will lead the manufacturing company starting May 2023. A longtime operations manager for Motorola, Wilson previously held vice president and senior vice president roles within Jabil.
Jabil is one of the largest manufacturers and employers in GTB. It is well known for the manufacturing of iPhone components. Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Jabil has locations in 30 countries and more than 200,000 employees globally.
Matthew Smith — New Owner of Hangar Restaurant and Flight Lounge
Matthew Smith has taken the reins of the St. Pete-based Hangar Restaurant and Flight Lounge. He is a general manager and chef with over 20 years’ experience in the industry and a lifelong St. Pete resident. Smith hopes to uphold the restaurant’s reputation and eventually take on more eateries.
Hangar Restaurant and Flight Lounge opened in 2010 under original owner Steve Westphal. Located at Albert Whitted Airport, the restaurant hosts live music, private parties and weekday happy hours.
