YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg 

Jane Usatiuk 

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg just welcomed Jane Usatiuk as the new Human Resources Coordinator. In her new role, Usatiuk will be responsible for hiring and onboarding new staff, managing the Department of Children and Families and managing personnel and policy inquiries. 

Before joining the YMCA, Usatiuk was the Talent Acquisitions specialist at Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. Usatiuk will be replacing Christina Edgeworth. 

Christina Edgeworth 

Edgeworth is joining St. Petersburg College as the new HRIS Operations Manager. Although, St. Petersburg College already performs exceptionally well, Edgeworth’s responsibilities will be to continue process improvement.  

As a graduate from St. Petersburg College herself, earning both her Associate’s degree in General Education and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, there is no one better suited to the position. Her focus and experience in nonprofit, public and organizational management will serve her well.  

Robert Rogers 

Traffic Tech’s Tampa office has brought Robert Rogers on as an Account Executive. Traffic Tech is a third-party logistics company, connecting customers to the best carriers for their moving needs. As Account Executive, Rogers will prioritize relationships with clients by growing, maintaining and delivering high quality services to them. 

Rogers earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In 2016, he finished the Bloomberg Market Concepts program for Bloomberg data, news and analytics. He brings with him a wealth of experience in sales, logistics and finance.  

Lauren Prager 

Synapse Florida, the nonprofit organization connecting Florida’s innovators, announced that Brian Kornfeld, inaugural CEO, will be stepping down from his position and Lauren Prager will be named the new CEO effective May 1, 2023. Lauren has been with the organization since 2018, starting as a volunteer and then holding positions of VP of Community Engagement and Chief Strategy Officer. Her vision and strategy have been instrumental to the growth of Synapse since its inception and the first Synapse Summit.

“Lauren has been a driving force behind the scenes for years and has become a visionary leader of the community and the team,” noted Brian Kornfeld. He continued, “I am beyond thrilled that somebody so talented will take Synapse to the next level as her vision and strategy in community building is truly unique and top notch.”

USF Bulls Womens Basketball 

For the second time in program history, the Womens Basketball team at USF won the ACC regular season championship. The Bulls have also broken program history with their 26-win season, only the 11th time they have won 20 games or more. Their 26 wins are just one win away from tying for most wins in a season.
