In the age of digital workspaces and remote environments, there is something to be said about the good, old-fashioned face-to-face meet and greet. For both seasoned professionals and aspiring career people, networking events are an opportunity to meet new people, connect with colleagues and advance a career.
As one of the hottest job markets in the country, the Greater Tampa Bay area is home to many unique venues to host these events. From small gatherings to large, from intimate to formal, these are a few of the best locations to host any networking event.
Tampa Convention Center
If space is a priority, the Tampa Convention Center can provide it. The ballroom alone features four distinct sections encompassing more than 36,000 square feet. On top of that, it has 36 meeting rooms, telescopic seating and can accommodate more than 1,000 booths in its exhibit hall.
Of course, there is more to an event than just room. Nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa, the Convention Center has a beautiful waterfront view and plenty of outdoor meeting spots to enjoy it. Its prime location is only steps away from Amalie Arena, Sparkman Wharf, and other Tampa must-sees.
Tampa Museum of Art
Call it a masterpiece.
For an event space with an artistic flair, this downtown venue is top-notch. With large open spaces, guests will have plenty of room to move comfortably. A conversation piece is around every corner. Many priceless galleries and installations bring vibrance to this space.
The museum plans to expand over the next two years, with a targeted completion date of 2024. The 51,000-square-foot addition will include a 150-seat auditorium, a lounge and an interactive events space.
For networking events, award ceremonies or conferences, the Tampa Museum of Art is a blank canvas awaiting its guests.
City of St. Petersburg Coliseum
When in St. Petersburg…
Nearing its 100th birthday, the St. Petersburg Coliseum is a fascinating architectural venue. The event space is designed to host any number of events, including concerts, dances, weddings, conventions and networking events.
The array of included services make this venue stand out. In-house staff and beverage service assist with events, while banquet tables and chairs are available for rent.
Local, iconic and most importantly versatile, the St. Pete Coliseum is a one-of-a-kind spot to host an event.
Outside the Box
The atmosphere at a venue for networking events sets the tone for striking up conversations, finding common ground and discovering new opportunities. In GTB, the possibilities are endless.
