A list of some of Greater Tampa Bay’s notable folks and their latest achievements

Jennifer B. Compton 

One of Tampa Bay’s largest law firms, Shumaker, just appointed their first female leader. Jennifer B. Compton is now the Chair of the firm’s Managing Committee and has over 20 years of experience practicing employment law, counseling and litigation. She formerly served as Vice Chair of the Management Committee before her promotion.  

Jennifer B. Compton is now one of the only two female leaders of the top 10 most prominent law firms in Greater Tampa Bay.  

Erika Escamilla  

Clearwater introduced their new Neighborhoods Coordinator, Erika Escamilla. She is a tried-and-true Clearwaterer, having attended both St. Petersburg College and the University of South Florida. Before becoming Neighborhoods Coordinator, Escamilla was a Right-of-Way Agent at Team Fishel, a utility contractor of Tampa Electric.  

Her experience as an advocate for non-profits and collaboration with events promoting athletic, cultural and social interaction will serve her well. She plans to support community leader initiatives that create memorable events for the area’s youth. 

Chad Hall 

Ideal Agent named Chad Hall as their new Director of Sales and Operations. Hall comes to Ideal Agent from Matrix Medical Network where he was the Director of Operations. Outside of that, he has over 15 years of experience working with healthcare, financial and real estate companies.  

Hall graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. As part of the Ideal Agent team, Chad Hall will help streamline the company, increase business with their ancillary services, and continue the momentum to help better serve their clients. 

Dr. Joseph Maslak 

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital appointed Dr. Joseph Maslak as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Maslak has over 13 years of medical staff leadership experience, and over 23 years of clinical experience. His move to Bayonet will be instrumental with opening their 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation service.  

Dr. Joseph Maslak, M.D., MHA, FACP earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from LaMoyne College and continued at St. George’s University School of medicine. Prior to joining the team at Bayonet, Dr. Maslak served as CMO at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. 

Freddy Williams 

The Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast CEO, Freddy Williams, was elected to chair their National Board of Directors. In 2019, Williams’s peers nominated him to join the National Board of Directors where he volunteered for every committee and task force with an opening.  

He has been part of the Boys and Girls Club for years, serving as the Orlando Club’s CEO for three years, as well as the St. Petersburg-based Suncoast Affiliate. While Williams will continue to work as local leadership, his priority is to serve as a voice for the 60,000 plus professionals at the national organization.  

Branford N. Adumuah 

The Pasco County Commission recently confirmed Branford N. Adumuah as their next Assistant County Administrator for Public Infrastructure. Before his appointment, Adumuah had been working in this position for six months on an interim basis.  

Adumuah joined the Pasco County Board of Commissioners back in 2017 as the Public Works Director. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University of Science and Technology. Adumuah then earned his Master’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  

Kim Hill 

University of South Florida’s Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Communications Kim Hill is returning to her former company. Hill will start at ReliaQuest as Head of Corporate Communications and Chief of Staff in April. 

Before joining USF, Hill worked as ReliaQuest’s Director of Communications. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science, Journalism and Dance at the University of Florida. At USF, Hill received her MBA in Marketing.

Ashly Anderson 

InVision, an owner’s representation firm, announced Ashly Anderson as their new Director of Growth and Senior Project Manager. Anderson is transitioning from the Tampa Downtown Partnership where she was instrumental in downtown’s monumental growth for nearly 10 years. 

Anderson graduated from the Art Institute with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, focusing on branding and identity. She then earned her Master of Urban and Community Design from the University of South Florida.  

Thomas Hobbs 

Port Tampa Bay has enlisted Thomas Hobbs as their new Chief of Staff. Hobbs’ experience in local government, Florida politics and the military will serve him well with his new responsibilities primarily consisting of formulating policy recommendations.  

Hobbs earned his Bachelors in Social Science from Florida State University, along with his Master’s in Political Science. Before joining Port Tampa Bay, Hobbs was a Lobbyist for Ramba Consulting Group. He has also served with the Florida National Guard for over 15 years. 

Julie Moore 

One of GTB’s largest accounting firms, Spoor Bunch Franz, has named Julie Moore as a Partner. Moore joined Spoor Bunch Franz in 2016 as a Tax Manager but has 13 years of accounting experience. She specializes in tax compliance, tax planning and financial accounting services.  

Moore earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Taxation from Appalachian State University. Before joining Spoor Bunch Franz, she was a Senior Tax Associate at Grant Thornton.
