As the days grow shorter and the nights get a bit chillier it is time for Hallows’ Eve to make its grand entrance. Carve a jack-o’-lantern, watch a horror movie marathon, or even better, get in the Halloween spirit by checking out these local events happening all through the month of October.
Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream

Halloween at Busch Gardens is kind of a big deal. At this extravagant event guests can expect to be spooked throughout the entire park with haunted houses, scare zones, chilling shows, and more.
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
When: 6:30 and 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 30
Where: Centro Asturiano de Tampa
Cost: $35 – $55
Listen to spooky classics performed by the Listeso String Quartet in the mysterious glow of candlelight, a sensory experience that will bring the magic of Halloween alive.
The 5th Annual Halloween Bar Crawl
When: 4 – 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 2022
Where: James Joyce Irish Pub and Eatery, Tampa
Cost: $15, $10 if buying four or more tickets.
Experience the best of Tampa’s nightlife and hop around to various participating bars that will be featuring Halloween-themed drink specials. Go all out in dressing up for a chance to win the $1000 grand prize in the costume contest. After the crawl is over, the fun will continue at the Coyote Ugly Saloon after party.
Paint n Sip Halloween Costume Party
When: 7 – 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29
Where: Joes Palette Paint and Wine Bar, St. Petersburg
Cost: $40
Don a costume and join in on the Halloween fun at Joes Palette Paint and Wine Bar. Guests can enjoy a live DJ, costume contest, and a free glass of “Bloody Wine” as they sip their way through painting a pre stenciled canvas.
Trunk or Treat at Coldwell Banker
When: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23
Where: Coldwell Banker Realty, St. Petersburg
Cost: Free
This family friendly event will be a highlight for kids this Halloween season. A big bag for all the candy is definitely a must!
Halloween Carnival
When: 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21
Where: Harbor Hall and White Chapel, Palm Harbor
Cost: Free
Come for a night of fun and frights at this spooky carnival. The whole family will enjoy games, treats, and more.
Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail
When: Select dates Friday, Sept. 30 – Saturday, Nov. 5
Where: 2837 S Frontage Rd, Plant City, FL 33566
Cost: General Admission $27 -$37, depending on night
This top-ranked haunted attraction is not for the faint of heart. Trek through the dark woods that the legendary Sir Henry haunts, but careful, he is not the only frightening creature to watch out for. Escape room style games, laser tag and food vendors will also be available for guests to enjoy.
